Your Apparent Loss

Sitting on my bed, staring at the phone,
I'm just wondering why
You still haven't called when it's been so long
And I feel a hole inside.
Cause you don't think I'm special enough
To tell me when you're gone.
So I'm just sitting here,
Praying you're ok....

Baby, you're my world, you're my hidden pearl,
And you need to understand
That when you say you call,
I expect you to and I'll hold you to your word.
When you act like you don't care,
It just kills me inside.
I know you're with your friends
But can't you just once bend,
And let me know you're all right?

You said you'd call by twelve,
It is now 1 am, and I still haven't heard.
Maybe you forgot? Well, I understand
But you do this all the time!
I'm not going to leave you,
The love is just too strong,
But it hurts when you don't seem to care.

I don't know where you are,
Only that you're with them.
Remember the time that you needed me there
But hadn't let me know where to go?
I'm crying now as my pillow is already wet
With tears of disappointment and rage.
Maybe I should go just to wake you up?
To see if you really care?
But then the caller ID reads: YOU.
